BRAMS is seeking experienced Speech Pathologists and Senior Speech Pathologists based in Broome, WA, on a full-time or part-time basis, to support children, adults and older people with communication, language, swallowing, feeding, cognitive-communication and respiratory disorders.

Reporting to the Allied Health Manager, these roles work within the multidisciplinary team across Aged Care, NDIS and Primary Health Care, in clinic and community settings. With BRAMS building its speech pathology capability, you'll have a genuine opportunity to shape how the service grows.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct assessment, diagnosis and therapy across the lifespan
  • Complete swallowing and mealtime assessments and management plans
  • Deliver individual and group therapy for speech, language, voice, fluency and swallowing
  • Educate consumers, carers and families on communication and swallowing safety
  • Participate in care planning, case conferences and discharge planning
  • Develop culturally relevant resources and community education
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
  • Provide clinical leadership, mentoring and service development (Senior level)

Is This You?

The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and be a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) through Speech Pathology Australia. Speech Pathologist applicants will bring at least two years' post-graduate experience, while Senior applicants will bring demonstrated experience at a senior clinical level.

You will also bring:

  • Experience managing communication, language, swallowing and feeding disorders.
  • Skills in mealtime assessment, planning and risk management.
  • A culturally safe, person-centred and evidence-based approach.
  • Strong communication, documentation and organisational skills.
